A little preparation leaves more space for the Ireland you came to discover. Start with the practical details, then let your interests, your pace, and a conversation with Ed shape the journey.
A little help from Ed ↘
Let your interests lead the choice of season. Longer daylight leaves more time for touring. Shorter days can suit a relaxed city break or countryside stay. Weather can change quickly, so keep outdoor plans flexible and pack layers. We will discuss seasonal openings and the experiences you want before setting dates.
A mood for every season. Your dates and interests set the direction.
Spring
Gardens, countryside pauses, and a little room for spontaneity.
Summer
Let the extra daylight make space for a slower scenic day.
Autumn
Make room for changing landscapes, city culture, and cozy evenings.
Winter
Think city discoveries, a countryside stay, and an unhurried table.
Allow space for travel days and avoid changing hotels every night. Choose self-drive, private transfers, or a driver-guide around your comfort and the route. Driving is on the left throughout the island; road distances and speed limits use kilometers in the Republic of Ireland and miles in Northern Ireland. Tell your rental provider about any cross-border plans and confirm the terms before booking.
A route shaped around your driving comfort, with room for the places between.
Well-planned connections when you would prefer someone else to handle the road.
Local perspective along the way, with more attention for the scenery.
A well-chosen base. An extra night. Time for the unexpected.
This collection covers the whole island: the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. The Republic uses the euro; Northern Ireland uses pound sterling. Entry requirements differ and depend on your passport, residence, and itinerary. Check current official Irish and UK guidance, including any visa or UK electronic travel authorization requirements, for your own circumstances before travel.
